It’s not every day we get an email from a Moonstruck Astronaut, so when we did we wanted to see how we could help.
Moonstruck Astronaut is a not-for-profit community theatre company based in Newport, Shropshire whose vision is to help foster a joyful, loving world in which everyone’s creativity is valued and celebrated.
The organisation submitted a grant application to help with the Newport Youth Theatre (NYT) 2024 project at Cosy Hall in Newport.
The Wynn Foundation Trustees were happy to approve the application and Claire presented the cheque to Moonstruck’s Artistic Director, Hannah de Quincey.
Hannah said “Thank you so much to the Wynn Foundation for their £1000 grant to the Newport Youth Theatre. Your money helps us continue to make a difference in Newport, supporting local children’s creative and collaborative development, in turn benefiting the families and community that surround them and gifting all involved with an increased sense of belonging, connection and confidence.”
Manager of the Cosy Hall, Simon Broad commented “Cosy Hall is very grateful to the Wynn Foundation for its very generous donation to Newport Youth Theatre. Donations such as this, are vital in enabling local groups and charities to thrive and develop. This in turn helps Cosy Hall in providing an ideal facility for the community to use.”
We look forward to hearing how the Newport Youth Theatre 2024 project progresses.
