19 Mar Safe Places Shropshire
Safe Places Shropshire is a scheme that provides a network of ‘short-term safe havens’ for people who may require additional support and assistance when they are out and about in the community. The aim of ‘Safe Places’ is to provide vulnerable individuals with a number of places that they know they can go to and have a quiet place to sit and/or a phone call made on their behalf to a trusted friend, carer, parent, guardian. This includes people with learning disabilities or those who live with anxiety attacks or dementia.
The organisation submitted a grant application to the Wynn Foundation for funding to help with producing materials such as help cards, window stickers, and leaflets to spread the word of the service they provide. The Wynn Foundation Trustees were only too happy to support this.
