The Broseley cadets are based in an old school, that’s tucked away up a narrow, steep street. They are a beacon of hope for Shropshire and its surrounding area’s for the younger generation. As they go from school to school and rely on word of mouth, they recruit more and more each year. They provide many activities to help them grow, as a person and push their career. Some young adults choose to carry on and further their military careers, by joining the armed forces.
On the other hand, youngsters get the option to learn NVQ’s, Managerial skills and other interesting subjects. Like with many of the cadets, it helps keep children off the streets and out of crime. The cadets are facilitated by volunteers and get a relatively small funding by the MOD.
However the Shropshire cadets in Broseley applied to the Wynn Foundation for funding, as they occasionally have to trips to cadet camps and trips to Nesscliffe, as the cadets can experience a whole host of activities such as being on the firing range and many other outdoor activities. The money will help them and surrounding cadet camps in England, by allowing all children from all backgrounds to attend the adventure camps and the regular cadet meetings, with the correct kit etc
By helping them achieve this, it will give the children in the area a chance to experience what the cadets are like and help them push forward with their chosen career.

Richard Wynn commented: “It was an absolute pleasure to be able to present the cheque to the Broseley cadets. I have the utmost respect for the men and women who are serving in the armed forces. I’m very pleased the Wynn Foundation was able to help in some way.”
