22 Nov Wynn Foundation helps provide a place of Warm Welcome in Shifnal
Following a grant application to the Wynn Foundation, the Trustees were delighted to award £3000 to Shifnal Parish Council (PCC).
The church committee is planning to open St Andrew’s Church, Shifnal as a ‘Place of Warm Welcome’ this winter (2022/23). The PCC would like to assist people who cannot afford to heat their homes due to the current economic situation.
It is hoped the church will be open five days a week from 10am-4pm and to offer a safe, warm, free and welcoming space, with hot refreshments through the day and hope to offer a hot soup lunch each day.
The Trustees wish you all the best for this community venture – and may even pop in for a cuppa!
