Wem Town Hall submitted a grant application to the Wynn Foundation earlier this year.
The purpose of the application was to help launch their Wellbeing Cafe, which will offer a safe and supportive environment for individuals to connect with others and improve their wellbeing.
The grant will be used for purchasing kitchen equipment, furniture, and activity materials. The aim is to create a space that reduces isolation, fosters a sense of community, and improves both mental and physical health among residents.
This busy town hall hosts a wide variety of events – from meetings and conferences to civic functions and large scale celebratory events. Visitors can participate in events and opportunities in film, music, theatre and dance or pop in for coffee with friends or catch the latest exhibition.
