The Wynn Foundation Presents a Grant to Wave Length
Helen Smith, Chair of the Wynn Foundation went along to the Forge, Oakengates on Saturday 8th September 2018 to present a cheque to Ann Johnson.
Supported by Wave Length, The Junction Box is a six-week programme offered in Telford and Shrewsbury helping individuals with a range of disabilities back into employment, specifically with a route to self-employment. Part of the grant from the Wynn Foundation will be used towards supporting attendees starting their businesses, with display and marketing materials.
The Junction Box process unlocks new ideas and builds confidence, identifying opportunities based on individual’s knowledge, skills, experience in their abilities and latent talents. The programme brings people together so that their shared life experiences and personal networks can be used to help each other overcome perceived or real challenges.
The Forge Urban Revival will also benefit from the grant by acquiring a PA system to support The Forge’s work with mental health.
