17 Jul The Friendly Transport Service
We recently received an application from The Friendly Transport Service, a small charity based in Broseley, Shropshire. The charity has been operating for 23 years, and were awarded the The Queens Award for Voluntary Service in 2018.
They are a Community Transport Organisation in rural Shropshire who uses volunteer drivers to support those who are otherwise isolated or excluded (due to mobility impairment, disability, age, lack of public transport, finance, etc)enabling residents to participate in their communities and access shopping, leisure, health, education, employment and other services.
They needed support with replacing one of their minibuses. Our Trustees were happy to approve the application.
We hope this donation goes a little way to helping you to continue with this wonderful service.
