05 May Shrewsbury & Oswestry Crucial Crew
Shrewsbury & Oswestry Crucial Crew (established in 1994) provides young people living in the Shrewsbury and Oswestry area of Shropshire with essential life skills, safety and social awareness training in order to help them advance in life by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals.
This 2 week safety programme will be delivered to 1560 eleven year old children from up to 50 Primary Schools who would not otherwise gain essential life skills experience and knowledge, other than by accident and will be run by trustees and 100 volunteers.
The organisation submitted a grant application to the Wynn Foundation requesting help with funding to help support the costs of providing this programme.
The Trustees were happy to approve and our Trustee (Helen) went along to present the cheque to Geoff Proffitt (Deputy Chairman / Trustee / Fundraiser) who said:
“this is our 32nd year, one of the children attending will be our 38,000th. We are extremely grateful to the trustees of the Wynn Foundation for their most generous support.”
The Wynn Foundation wishes you all every success for this years’ programme!
