02 May Longlands Primary School
Longlands Primary School submitted a grant application to the Wynn Foundation requesting help to further develop their farm and forest outdoor learning areas and to develop an outdoor library.
They have a school farm with goats, rabbits, chickens, guinea pigs and a school cat, and children go out to the farm to read to the animals. This is a safe space for them with no judgement.
The Wynn Foundation Trustees were delighted to approve the grant application and Trustee, Luke, went to the school to present the cheque to Lorna Hounsell (teacher and senior leader).
We hope the children continue to enjoy their outdoor time and wish you well expanding this venture.
