The Wynn Foundation Presents a Grant to the Long Mynd Archers

The Wynn Foundation have presented a cheque to Long Mynd Archers for the works required to support disabled users of their club and facilities. A new ramp and the reinforcement of their club house floor were the project’s objectives. The Wynn Foundation presented a grant of £4900 to the club to pay for these works to be carried out.

Ann Berwick of the Long Mynd Archers commented:

The funding which the Wynn Foundation very generously granted to Long Mynd Archers was to enable us to install a compliant access ramp to our Clubhouse at Church Stretton. As this has to be manufactured to an exact specification it will, necessarily take several weeks to complete. We anticipate that installation should be possible either at the end of March, or very early in April.

In the meantime we are currently reinforcing the clubhouse floor, and will be carrying out the necessary groundworks for the ramp to be installed.

The project, when completed will enable wheelchair users and those with limited mobility ( archers and visitors alike) to have independent access to the clubhouse and the facilities therein. As a club we aim, always, to be open and inclusive in the activities that we offer and this current project will support this significantly.
