20 Aug Ightfield and Calverhall Bowls Club
Ightfield and Calverhall bowls club is a crown green bowls club which serves a rural community.
Members come from a range of backgrounds and social groups, including the farming community, school age children, teenagers, working and retired people. They compete in Whitchurch and Market Drayton leagues, but also offer Social bowling on a Saturday.
The club recently applied to the Wynn Foundation for funding as their lawn mower desperately needed replacing (it was 25 years old!)
The Wynn Foundation Trustees approved this application and Claire went along to the club to had over the cheque.
We hope the club continues to be the sporting and social hub for the area and all age groups.
