29 May Hope House Hospice
Hope House Hospice provides care and support for terminally ill children from across Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.
The charity was started in 1991, the hospice opened in 1995 and helps children enjoy the best possible quality of life, both emotionally and practically, and make the most of every precious moment by providing:
– Specialist paediatric palliative care in the hospice, in the community and in families’ own homes
– Emotional and practical support for parents, siblings and family members
– Bereavement counselling for anyone whose child died, whether or not they have used our services before
– Various therapies to improve mental and emotional wellbeing including hydrotherapy, play therapy and music therapy
The Hospice approached the Wynn Foundation for support towards purchasing new specialist beds, which our Trustees were only to happy to approve.
