The Hive is a community-facing charity which delivers projects to level the playing field for disadvantaged residents of Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. It has a particular emphasis on children, young people and young adults facing challenges in life.
The organisation submitted a grant application to the Wynn Foundation for funding to purchase a new roll-up ramp.The Trustees were delighted to approve the application.
Katie Jennings, CEO of the Hive said “Everyone at The Hive is so very grateful for the kind support of the Wynn Foundation to enable us to purchase a new lightweight, roll-and-store wheelchair ramp for our charity venue in Shrewsbury.
Our wheelchair ramp was in desperate need of replacing, after it got damaged due to weight of the electric wheelchairs which are regularly brought into the building for wheelchair-users to attend regular events and activities. It’s essential for us to ensure that The Hive is a genuinely inclusive charity, and that we can accommodate and welcome everyone into our venue for many years to come. This funding is really helping The Hive to improve our facilities for the better, thank you so much!”
