British Disabled Angling Association receive grant from Wynn Foundation

Jenny Wynn and Luke Feehan from the Wynn Foundation were delighted to present a cheque for £3000 to the British Disabled Angling Association to help support the “Lets Fish with BDAA” project.

The cheque was presented at the Albrighton Trust Moat and Gardens where celebrations were being held for the Trust’s 30 year anniversary.

The  ‘Lets Fish With BDAA’ events project is extremely popular and provides opportunities to take part in an outdoor healthy recreation enjoying social inclusion whilst benefitting from the many health benefits.  Lack of suitable safe disabled access and specially adapted equipment  can be a major barrier to inclusive participation. The  ‘Lets Fish With BDAA’ events break down these barriers by offering opportunities for the disabled to take part in this popular, beneficial pastime whilst introducing them to a recreational outdoor activity as an alternative to the usual mainstream activities.

We look forward to seeing and hearing all about the fun you have at your events!
